Thanks to SPU鈥檚 , Heather Bean spent
five days getting a taste of what homeless 涩里番
encounter in downtown 涩里番. When she got
back to campus, she switched her major to 鈥� and never looked back. This year, Heather
was student liaison to Tent City 3, a self-managed
community of homeless 涩里番 who lived on campus
for three months. While combatting homelessness
can feel insurmountable, she says connecting
students with TC3 residents through game and
worship nights, poetry workshops, and dinners has
taught her the diversity of ways to make a difference.
