She’s influenced nearly every aspect of my education and career by helping me discover my career path, connecting me with her professional network, giving me the chance to be a TA, and offering valuable advice about graduate school. She is an amazing teacher who is conscientious and passionate about her work. I strive to follow in her footsteps in a unique way.
What are you excited about in your future career? For my future career, I’m most looking forward to trying new things and working on meaningful and interesting problems.
What advice do you have for incoming students? My advice to students is to work hard from the beginning. You don’t know how your career aspirations will change; therefore, leave all your doors open by working hard.
How have you grown during your time at SPU? During my time at SPU, I’ve grown significantly as a leader and become more self-assured, conscientious, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities. I’ve improved in public speaking, learned to embrace vulnerability, and developed skills I didn’t even know I had. While I’m still a work in progress, SPU has played a major role in developing who I am today.
