ENGINEERING AND APPLIED SCIENCE – ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING MAJOR
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 119 total and 27 upper-division credits are required for the BS in Engineering and Applied Science – Environmental Engineering major.

This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline.
It is strongly recommended that all EAS Environmental engineering intended majors consult with the EAS coordinator, Dr. Elaine Scott (scotte@spu.edu), before classes begin. .

YEAR 1	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter
Common Curriculum		OR	OR
Major	CSC 1230, EGR 1402,	CHM 1211, EGR 1125,	CHM 1212, EGR 1125,
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				MAT 0121, 0122, 0123, 0124, 0125 (if needed, as dictated by placement test); ENG 2201 (if needed, as dictated by placement test) AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB (Choose one depending on competency courses needed.)
Other	It is strongly recommended that all EAS Environmental engineering intended majors consult with the EAS coordinator, Dr. Elaine Scott (scotte@spu.edu), before classes begin.			Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

YEAR 2	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter
Common Curriculum				/
Major	PHY 1121, EE 2726,	PHY 1122, EE 2727	PHY 1123	CHM 1330,
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Foreign Language if required, and as dictated by placement test.			AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)
Other			Apply for admission to the major. A 2.5 GPA is required.	Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

YEAR 3	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter
Common Curriculum
Major	CHM 3225, EGR 3401, , EGR 3000	BIO 2101	EGR 2200, BIO 2103, EGR 3391	Eleven credits in Tech Electives (Consult with the EAS coordinator about approved tech elective courses.)
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)
Other		Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned.		Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed

YEAR 4	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter
Common Curriculum
Major	EGR 4940	EGR 2891, EGR 4899		BIO 3310, OR BIO 3351
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				ECN 2207 (Highly recommended) AHA, AHB, SSA, NSA (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)
Other	Create a final-year plan and meet with your faculty advisor for review.	EGR 4899 may be taken for an additional 1 credit in order to achieve required ‘W’ or upper-division credits.		Electives to reach at least 180 total college-level quarter credits and 60 upper-division credits if needed
