At SPU, Lee began to look for opportunities to invest more deeply in a spiritual community and grow alongside other Christians, which is what led him to the student ministry coordinator position.

Each SPU residence hall has SMCs, and these students work alongside campus leaders to foster spiritual growth and build community by hosting small groups, planning events, and reaching out to residents individually. 

We asked Lee, a senior majoring in electrical engineering, to talk about becoming an SMC for Arnett Hall and what he is learning in the role.

The SPU Art Department is pleased to present our Senior Studio Art, Illustration and Photography Exhibition, "In[Visible]." This culmination of study features individual projects by students Kayla Davenport, Sarah Collier and Emily Larson. These students have graced our walls with their curious inquiry and imaginative expressions in a variety of media including photography, digital illustration, painting and drawing.

Senior physiology major Ben Sheirbon was awarded first place in the undergraduate poster competition in the “Developmental Biology, Genetics, and Immunology” category.at the 2025 American Association for the Advancement of Science annual meeting 

This annual event showcases research contributions students are making in the fields of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, engineering, health and human performance, mathematics, physics and sociology.

For 23 years, the Erickson conference has showcased the outstanding research and design contributions our students are making in the fields of Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Health and Human Performance, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology and Sociology.

Student presentations range from single quarter classroom-based original research projects to summative multi-year independent research programs and engineering design projects. Please join us in this celebration of students' projects and support your friends as they present the findings of their individual projects.

Please join the ɬÀï·¬ Pacific Seminary for the annual Paul T. Walls Lecture on Tuesday May 6, 7 p.m., in Upper Gwinn Commons at ɬÀï·¬. The speaker is Walls Professor of Wesleyan Studies Dr. Doug Strong from ɬÀï·¬. He will present the lecture, The Wesleyan Option: A Compelling Theological Witness for Today."

This lecture will explore how Wesleyan Holiness offers a revivalist, intellectually robust, and justice-driven alternative for a broader Christian vision for the whole Church. The respondents for this lecture will be Elizabeth Ingram Shindler, Co-District Superintendent for the Pacific Northwest Conference and Jaymes Lackey, Lead Pastor of The Table Church.

This event is designed to empower and connect all students with first-generation professionals as they share how they landed their first jobs.

USRowing announced its annual awards as selected by its Board of Directors with ɬÀï·¬ women's rowing head coach Caitlin McClain being named the recipient of the Ernestine Bayer Award.

The Ernestine Bayer Award recognizes outstanding contributions to women's rowing and/or to an outstanding woman in rowing. McClain certainly fits the criteria after incredible accomplishments with the Falcons and the USRowing U19 national team in 2024.
